Wichita State women's basketball head coach Jody Adams will make her first public appearance as Shocker head coach when she and the women's basketball program host a public reception from 5:30 - 7 p.m., in the Preferred Health Systems Multipurpose Center on Wed., April 23.

The coaching staff will be in attendance for the function that is free and open to the public. Adams will address the crowd at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be available free of charge.

WSU's new coach has two more public appearances scheduled for next week as Adams will throw out the first pitch of Wichita State's baseball game against in-state rival Kansas, on 50 Cent Hotdog Night at Eck Stadium on Tuesday April 22. Adams will also throw out the first pitch of the first game of Shocker softball's 2008 home finale, Sunday at noon at Wilkins Stadium against UNI.
