Wichita State women's basketball student-athletes have been paired with some of Wichita's most successful women community leaders as part of the Shocker Mentoring Program initiated by first-year head coach Jody Adams and her staff.
Each student-athlete has been paired with at least one female business or community leader, with emphasis on the student-athlete's preferred career path. The purpose of the program is to empower Wichita's finest female leaders to assist young women in visioning themselves as future leaders within their communities.
