WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State women's tennis team
finished No. 62 in the final national ITA rankings released this week.
The Shocker women finished the season with a record of 21-6,
including 7-0 in Missouri Valley Conference play. The Shockers won their fourth
straight MVC title and fourth consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament. As a
team, they also finished eighth in the final ITA Central Region rankings.
Senior Lutfiana Budiharto finished the season at No. 91 in
the national singles rankings and came in at No. 7 in the regional rankings.
She had a record of 26-6 on the season and finished her Wichita State career
with 110 singles victories, putting her in second-place on the WSU All-Time
career wins list. She was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the
Year three straight years after winning Freshman of the Year honors in 2009.
Veronika Blaskova and Lucia Kovalova finished as the No. 69
doubles duo in the nation and No. 9 in the central region rankings.
Sophomore Satjaporn Mahajaroenkul came in at No. 19 in the
central region singles rankings, finishing with a record of 17-5 on the season.
She was named to the MVC All-Conference Team at the No. 5 singles position.
