LONDON- Wichita State men's tennis volunteer assistant coach Nick
Taylor and his doubles partner David Wagner won the gold medal on Wednesday in
the wheelchair tennis doubles quad division at the Paralympics.
The duo defeated Andy Lapthorne and Peter Norfolk of Great
Britain, 6-2, 7-5, 6-2, to capture their third consecutive gold medal as a team
at the Paralympics.
Taylor will now face Wagner on Thursday in the semifinals of
the quad singles competition after defeating Anders Hard of Sweden, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, in the quarterfinals.
