WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State men's tennis team will
welcome the University of Texas-Arlington to Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex on
Saturday, March 16.
UTA (5-6) is coming off a close 4-3 loss to Radford on March
13. Carlos Arbiza leads the Mavericks in singles play with a record of 5-4 on
the season. Soren Goritzka has an overall doubles record of 5-3.
Wichita State (9-3) has won three straight matches by the
score of 7-0, including their last match against Newman on Wednesday, March 6. In
singles play, seven of eight Shockers have 10 or more wins and sophomore Alvaro
Gutierrez has won six straight matches. In doubles play, senior Matheus Pereira
is 20-5 in matches he has participated in.
The match will begin at 11 a.m. and results will be posted
on GoShockers.com following the completion of play.
