WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State men's tennis team will travel to Waco, Texas for a match against No. 29 Baylor on Friday, March 22 at the Hurd Tennis Center.
After winning eight straight matches, Baylor (10-4) is on a three-match skid and will play Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday before their match against the Shockers on Friday. Julian Lenz, Patrick Pradella, Marko Krickovic and Mate Zsiga are all ranked in singles play for the Bears, coming it at No. 49, 64, 97 and 98 respectively.
The Shockers (10-3) are on a four-match winning streak, in which they have not allowed any of their opponents to claim a point. Last time out, they defeated UT-Arlington 4-0. As a team, Wichita State is 82-42 on the season in singles matches, including a stellar 53-19 in dual match play. Tin Ostojic and Matheus Pereira have won 11 straight doubles matches and are 11-1 on the season. Pereira is 21-5 in doubles matches he has participated in.
