WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State Black squad used three home runs to down the Gold squad 15-3 in game three of the Shocker Fall World Series. Black now holds a 2-1 edge in the series.
Will Baez went 3-for-6 with four RBI, two doubles and a home run for the Black, while Mitch Caster went 3-for-6 with a double and a home run. Starter Josh Smith earned the win going 4.1 innings and giving up two runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
Clint McKeever led the Gold going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a home run. Starter Charlie Lowell took the loss for the Gold.
Game four of the series is Thurs., Oct. 22 at 3 p.m.
