Snowy Practice Photo Album
WICHITA - More than three inches of snow on the ground and counting did little to deter head coach Grier Jones and his golfers from working on their game at the Hartman Indoor Golf Practice Facility on Friday.
The defending Missouri Valley Conference champions went to work at the facility in different intervals from 9am - 3pm to hit balls onto the driving range and practice putting skills. While the snow continued to fall on WSU's Braeburn Golf Course, the team pulled up the double 18-foot garage doors to give themselves access to the driving range.
Despite temperatures in the 20s, the Shockers were able to get quality practice time in, to the delight of Jones and assistant coach Zac Zedrick. Wichita State will open its season on February 15 at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
