Wichita - The Wichita State men's tennis program welcomes
Evan Dufaux as their new assistant coach for the 2010-2011 season.
Dufaux joins the Shockers after coaching national juniors
players at Maryland Farms in Nashville for the past year. The former Vanderbilt player wrapped up
his collegiate career in 2008 and spent one year playing professionally in
France. His father Al is the head
coach of the women's tennis team at the University of Tampa.
"Not only does Evan bring tremendous knowledge and tennis
experience but his maturity and intelligence will be a tremendous influence on
the kids, head coach Brad Lauderback said. His goals on the court and with academics are parallel with
mine."
"I'm excited to be here at WSU with Coach Lauderback, Dufaux
said. He brought me here to take
the team to the next level."
Dufaux graduated from Vanderbilt with degrees in Spanish and
Philosophy. He is in the Wichita
State English Master's program.
