WICHITA, Kan.- Wichita State volunteer assistant men's
tennis coach Nick Taylor is headed to London to compete in the 2012 Paralympic
Games.
Taylor and his partner, David Wagner, will be looking to
capture their third consecutive gold medal in the doubles wheelchair tennis competition
after taking gold in 2004 and 2008. Taylor will also be competing in singles competition.
"Nick Taylor is an incredibly competitive athlete who has developed himself into one of the best tennis players in the world. He has got it all...power, topspin, slice, touch, control, and he is one of my favorite players of all time," said head coach Brad Louderback. "When Nick is not on the road playing, we are fortunate to have him as a part of our coaching staff."
Taylor's first match will take place on September 2nd
at Eton Manor in London.
