WICHITA - The Wichita State University men's golf team added Chandler Rusk, a transfer from Texas Tech, to the 2012-13 roster.

Rusk competed in two seasons for the Red Raiders, culminating in a tie for fourth place at the Big 12 Championships as a sophomore in 2011.  He is a native of Edmond, Okla. where he starred for Edmond North High School.  His prep career included a tie for first at the 2009 Oklahoma Class 6A Tournament.

As a sophomore, Rusk finished fourth on the team with a 74.5 stroke average over the spring and fall seasons.  That spring he placed 10th and helped lead Texas Tech to a team victory at the UTSA/Oak Hills Invitational.  The Shockers competed in that same tournament, tying for 7th

Rusk had an accomplished career at Edmond North High School, posting six Top-10 finishes in AJGA play.  He won five tournaments his senior season and posted a 70.1 career scoring average.

He will have two years of eligibility and can compete immediately in the fall for the Shockers.
