Fairfax, Calif. - Wichita State University joins 16 other
schools at the Cal-Berkeley Alister MacKenzie Invitational on Monday and
Tuesday. The Shockers have captured two
titles and a second place finish out of the team's three fall competitions.
The Alister MacKenzie Invitiational takes place at the
6,718-yard, par-71 Meadow Club. The
teams will play 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Live scoring will be available through
GolfStat and via a link on CalBears.com.
Wichita State joins the host school Cal along with Arizona
State, BYU, Colorado, Colorado State, Fresno State, Hawai'i, Michigan, Nevada,
Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, and UC
Davis.
Cal is the top ranked team in the nation, according to the
most recent Golf World/Nike Golf Coaches' Poll.
Other participating teams on the national radar include San Diego State
(No. 22), Oregon (No. 25), Colorado (No. 32), Oregon State (No. 48), and WSU
(No. 40).
The tournament begins with a shotgun start Monday morning at
10:15 CT.
