EL DORADO, Kan. -  Junior Ryan Hocker won the men's 5K race and sophomore Kayla Deighan finished second in the women's 4K race at the Ollie Ison Invitational Friday afternoon. Hocker won with a time of 15:42.34 and Deighan finished in 15:06.97.

Junior Kayson Matthews took second (16:04.58) and sophomore Casey Nightengale finished fourth (16:17.70) giving the men three runners in the top five of the 5K race. Sophomore Mackenzie Maki took third (15:10.94) and freshman Savannah Wright placed sixth (15:47.42) for the women.

The Shockers next compete at the MVC Championships in Normal, Ill. at the Weibring Golf Course on Oct. 27.
