WICHITA, Kan. - Several Wichita State baseball players were honored at the annual First Pitch Banquet Jan. 28 at the Preferred Health Systems Multipurpose Center.  Team awards from the 2012 season were presented followed by a program that featured Kansas City Royals Manager Ned Yost. 

The award winners included:

Professional Image Center Most Outstanding Pitcher - Kris Gardner

Cessna Academic Leadership Award - Kevin Hall

Elrick and Associates Most Improved Player - Dayne Parker

Merle Geist "Charlie Hustle" Award - Kevin Hall

Tom and Anne Vanderhoofven Golden Glove - Kevin Hall & Dayne Parker

The Coleman Co. Beacon of Light Award - Tyler Baker

Travis Wilson Most Inspirational Player Award - Garrett Bayliff
