MGolf: GolfWeek Picks Shockers to Win Valley

GolfWeek picked the Wichita State University men's golf team to win the Missouri Valley Conference Championship for a sixth-straight season.  The online publication ranked WSU No. 48 in the nation.

Lance Ringler wrote, "The Shockers are in the Missouri Valley Conference, but truly are in a league of their own."

Louis Cohen Boyer was tabbed as WSU's top individual performer of the fall season.  The Shockers all five contributors, including three seniors, to last year's team that fell just short of advancing past the NCAA Regional at Stanford University.

The Shockers begin spring competition Feb. 11 at the UTSA Oak Hills Invitational.
