WICHITA, Kan. - Seven Wichita State
baseball games during the 2013 season will be televised on Cox Communications'
Kansas 22 that expands Shocker baseball coverage throughout the state of
Kansas, Director of Athletics Eric Sexton announced Feb. 7.
"We
are excited that seven of our games will be televised this season by Cox
Communications and that we will be able to showcase our team across the state
of Kansas," head coach Gene Stephenson said.
"Our fans will be able to watch the 2013 team take on outstanding
regional opponents in Oklahoma State, Kansas State and Kansas along with Valley
rivals Indiana State and Missouri State and Big 10 foe Northwestern."
The
seven games that will be televised are April 5 against Indiana State, April 16
against Kansas State, April 23 at Oklahoma State, April 30 at Kansas, May 3 and
May 4 at Missouri State, and May 16 against Northwestern.
In
addition, each game will appear live or tape delayed via Metro Sports on Time
Warner Cable in Kansas City.
Bruce
Haertl will serve as play-by-play analyst for the seven broadcasts while Shane
Dennis will be the color analyst.
The
Shockers will also be on Kansas 22 on April 9 at Kansas State as part of the
Wildcats television package.
