WICHITA, Kan. – Former Wichita State baseball player Matt Brown will be in attendance at the Shocker baseball game on Tue., April 28 against Oklahoma.
Brown will be there to throw out the first pitch before the game to help commemorate the 10-year anniversary of his catch over the right field wall on April 26, 2005 against Oklahoma.
The catch was nominated for an ESPY Award that season for “Best Play” and was also No. 1 on SportsCenter for top-10 plays.
Brown will also be available to sign autographs and take photos with fans in the right field area of Coleman Hill during a few innings of the game.
Brown played for the Shockers from 2005-07 and finished his career with a .313 batting average, 45 doubles, 11 triples, 14 home runs, 144 RBI and 44 stolen bases.
