Johnson Earns All-America Honors at NCAAs

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Senior Kellyn Johnson earned All-American honors in the 5000 meters as the Shockers competed at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

Johnson ran in a tight pack most of the way in the 5000m as the leaders set the pace. The Wisconsin native came in 10th to earn her second All-America honor of the season with a time of 16:45.34.

Also competing in the finals of their respective events was Brett Trudo and Brooke Demo. Trudo placed 12th in the javelin with a throw of 211-10, while Demo was 15th in the women's pole vault after clearing 13-1.5.
