Skill
Development Camp I
June 17-18, 2013
Time: 9am - Noon
Ages: Entering Grades 1-3 (Fall 2013)
Tuition: $60
Camp Information: The
Skill Development Camp I is designed to introduce young players to the game of
basketball. We will focus on the
development of fundamental skills - shooting, passing, and ball handling. Games, relays, contests, and lots of
"Shocker" excitement will guarantee a FUN time for all! Each camper will receive an official camp T-shirt and other Shocker give-a-ways.
Skill Development Camp II
June 17-18, 2013
Time: 9am - 4pm
Ages: Entering Grades 4-12 (Fall 2013)
Tuition: $110
Camp Information: The Skill Development Camp II is designed to challenge players to develop strong fundamental skills in the areas of shooting, passing, and ball handling while competing in game situations. Position (guard/post) skills and overall team concepts will be emphasized. Various competitions such as 1-on-1, Free Throw, and Hot Shot contests will also be implemented throughout the week. Each camper will receive an official camp T-shirt and other Shocker give-a-ways. Lunch will be provided each day.
Junior Elite
Camp
June 22-23, 2013
Time: June 22 (2pm - 8pm) & June 23 (8am - 5pm)
Ages: Entering Grades 6-8 (Fall 2013)
Tuition: $115 (Commuter) & $140 (Overnight)
Camp Information: The Junior Elite Camp is designed for the committed junior high school basketball player
wanting to take their game to the next level. This camp is a very intense instructional camp, which will
help prepare those players who aspire to compete at the high school varsity
level. Elite campers will
learn advanced fundamental skills at their respective position. The Elite Camp I is open to any and all
entrants. However, this camp is
structured for highly competitive, intense, and serious players! Each camper will receive an official camp T-shirt and other Shocker give-a-ways. Participants will receive dinner on the 22nd and breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the 23rd.
Mentor Daughter Camp
June 16, 2013
Time: 1 pm - 6pm
Tuition: $30
Camp Information: The Jody Adams Mentor Daughter Camp offers a unique bonding experience that only Wichita State Basketball can provide. This year's participants will be treated to instruction from the WSU coaches and staff along with current and former Shocker players through detailed skill work and competitions in the facilities at Charles Koch Arena. Mentor Daughter teams will cpmete with fellow campers of appropriate age groups (based on daughter's age/grade level) in competitions that incorporate skills learned throughout the camp. The skill work is designed to give both mentor and daughter drills and techniques to take home and continue working together. This camp is open to all mentors/daughters ages 6-17, regardless of previous basketball experience.
