Texas/Emporia State Relays Up Next for Track and Field

WICHITA, Kan. ? Wichita State will send athletes to Austin, Texas on April 5 and Emporia on April 7 to begin competition at the 80th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays and the Emporia State Relays. 

The Texas Relays will play host to some of the nation's top high school, collegiate and professional track and field stars over the next three days.

Senior Chandra Andrews and junior-transfer will kick off competition for Wichita State in the men's and women's hammer throw, starting at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, followed by seniors Matt Baker and Tasha Gallegos's preliminary races in the men's and women's 400-meter hurdle preliminary races at 5. The bulk of competition will begin on Friday with the running events beginning at 9:30 a.m. and field events at 12:30.

Live results will be available each day of the meet. 

Shocker athletes will also be competing at the Emporia State Relays on Sat., April 7. 

WSU will be up against in-state foes Kansas and Kansas State as well as Nebraska and host school Emporia State.

Field events will begin at 10 a.m. with the women's pole vault, followed by running events at 11.

Results will be available at the conclusion of the meet.
