WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State University men's and women's cross country teams travel for the first time this season to compete in the Missouri State Invitational Saturday in Springfield, Mo.
10 university/college teams will compete Saturday. The meet begins with the women's 5,000-meter race at 8:30 a.m., followed by the men's 8K at 9:15 a.m.
The Shockers last competed this season in their home meet at the J.K. Gold Classic Sept. 1. Wichita State's Aliphine Tuliamuk won the university/college women's 4K in a meet record time of 13:27.75 and Sophomore, Kaitlyn McLeod finished in fourth place with a time of 14:18.79. In the university/men's 6K, Wichita State's Marcos Bailon led the way for the Shockers with a second place finish with a time of 18:42.42. Senior, Jake Wike followed Bailon and took third (18:47.40), and sophomore, Sterling Spencer finished fourth (18:50.09).
Results of the Missouri State Invite will be posted Saturday afternoon.
