LAWRENCE, Kan.- Senior Hannah Martin is in a tie for 18th place after play on Monday was completed at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational at Alvamar Golf Course. Fellow senior Natalie Samb is not far behind, as she sits alone in 23rd place.
Martin shot a 13-over 157(78-79) in the first two rounds, while Samb is only one shot behind her, shooting a 158(78-80). Abigail Laker from Arkansas State leads the tournament with a one-under 143(74-69).
As a team, the Shocker women are in a tie for ninth place, carding a 649(326-323). The host, Kansas, leads all teams with a 601(303-298).
The third and final round starts Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
