WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State Black squad used an RBI single from Bob Arens in the top of the ninth to take a 3-2 win in game five of the Shocker Fall World Series.
Mikel Mucha finished 2-for-3 for the Black, while Coy and Arens each had an RBI. Reliever TJ McGreevy earned the win with 1.2 shutout innings and Aaron LaBrie pitched a scoreless ninth for the save.
Chase Simpson went 2-for-4 for the Gold, while reliever Foster Vielock took the loss.
Game six of the series is Thurs., Oct. 11 at 6:30 p.m.
