WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State women's golf team will head to Buies Creek, N.C. to compete in the Fighting Camel Classic at Keith Hills Country Club, October 22-23, for their final tournament of the fall season.

The Shockers are coming off their best tournament of the season last week at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, where they finished in fourth place as a team. They shot the fourth best team score in Shocker history, carding a 920 (313-298-309) over the three rounds.

Individually, the Shockers were able to put some very good rounds together, as three of them finished in the top-30. Freshman Bryce Schroeder led the team in scoring for the first time this season, shooting a 224 (74-75-75) to finish in fourth place. Senior Hannah Martin finished one shot behind her with a 225 (76-73-76), which was good for a tie for fifth. Daniela Rugeles finished in a tie for 27th, carding a 235 (81-73-81).

Schroeder, Martin and Rugeles will be joined by seniors Hollie Weatherburn and Sarah Gilbert for the Fighting Camel Classic.
