BUIES CREEK, N.C.- The Wichita State women's golf team is in eighth place after the first two rounds were completed on Monday in the Fighting Camel Classic at Keith Hills Country Club.
The Shocker women shot a 634 (319-315) to put themselves 27-over for the tournament after two rounds. The host, No. 39 Campbell University, leads the way with a 10-over 592 (294-298).
Freshman Bryce Schroeder is in a tie for 22nd, carding a 156 (79-77). Sophomore Daniela Rugeles is one shot behind her in a tie for 25th with a 157 (81-76). Senior Hollie Weatherburn landed herself in the top-35 with a two-round score of 160 (79-81).
Kaylin Yost of Campbell leads the individual scoring, carding a 2-under 142 (73-69).
The third and final round starts Tuesday morning with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Live stats can be found at Golfstat.com.
