Field and Adney both earned honorable mention honors last
season.
Field, a junior from Windsor, Calif., has a 3.80 GPA in chemistry,
Church, a senior from Fairway, Kan., has a 3.50 GPA in exercise science, Adney,
a senior from Golden, Colo., has a 3.39 GPA in communication and Feekin, a
junior from Papillion, Neb., has a 3.25 GPA in elementary education.
The criteria for the Valley's Scholar-Athlete Team parallels the CoSIDA
standards for Academic All-America voting. Nominees must be a starter or
important reserve with at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average.
Also, students must have participated in at least 75 percent of the regular
season, reached sophomore academic and athletic standing at their institution
and completed at least one full academic year at their institution.
