HOT SPRINGS, Ark.- The Wichita State women’s golf team completed play at the UALR Women’s Golf Classic on Tuesday at Diamante Country Club.
The Shocker women shot a 54-hole score of 996 (334-332-330) to finish in a tie for 14th. Sam Houston State carded a 937 (324-315-298) to take the team title.
Senior Sarah Gilbert, playing in her first tournament of the spring, shot a 246 (84-80-82) to finish in a tie for 42nd. Freshman Bryce Schroeder finished three shots behind her with a 249 (79-87-83). Meghan Schuetz (254), Hannah Martin (256) and Madison Murphy (261) rounded out the scores for the Shockers.
Wichita State will play their last tournament of the spring before the Missouri Valley Conference Championship when they travel to Pinehurst, N.C. for the Pinehurst Challenge April 1-2.
