The Shocker Fitness program will be designed to provide excellent guidance for people of all backgrounds and capabilities. Participants will be men, women, and children of all ages. We will try to help everyone involved achieve their fitness goals and objectives. Workouts will be varied and give everyone a complete overall fitness session. Each session will include a warm-up, some type of a running or stadium stairs workout, and finish with a strength and conditioning circuit. Workouts will have energetic music, occasional guest speakers, and handouts regarding nutrition and off-day workout suggestions.
“Shocker Fitness with coach bolt” will be offered in several sessions throughout 2012. Each session will be comprised of three workouts a week for 10 weeks. The New Year's Resolution session runs Jan. 9-March 16. The Spring Training session runs March 19-May 25. The Six-Pack Summer runs May 28-Aug. 3. The Back-to-School session runs Aug. 6-Oct. 12 and the Turkey Trot session runs Oct. 15-Dec. 21.
Each "Shocker Fitness with coach bolt" session will consist of 30 workouts held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with three workouts each day to choose from - 5:30 a.m., 6:30 a.m. or 5:45 p.m. Each session will meet at Cessna Stadium and/or the Koch Arena practice gym on days of inclement weather. We will open 15 minutes early so you can begin warming up on your own before the fitness session begins. The fee for each seven-week "Shocker Fitness with coach bolt" session is $55. If you join after the halfway point of a session, the cost will be reduced to $35. Click on the links above for more information and to register.
The “Shocker Fitness with coach bolt” Winter Hurdles and Jumps, and Speed Development Camp is also coming up in early 2013. He will be assisted by Heidi Yost, the WSU Jumps Coach and seven time MVC Champion, Dylan Hartnett. The camp will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Jan. 15, Jan.17 Jan.22, Jan.24, Jan.29, and Jan.31.
Each workout will be held in the Heskett Center on the campus of Wichita State University from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The sessions will incorporate skill development for long jump, triple jump and high jump, as well as general conditioning activites.
