WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State Black squad defeated the Gold squad 15-3 in game four of the Shocker Fall World Series. The Black now holds a 3-1 edge in the series.
Johnny Coy went 4-for-4 with three RBI for the Black, while Preston Springer went 3-for-6 with four RBI. Reliever TJ McGreevy earned the win by throwing four shutout innings with two strikeouts.
Ryan Hege went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Gold, while Nate Goro and Bret Bascue each went 2-for-4. Starter Aaron LaBrie took the loss.
Game five of the Fall World Series is Sat., Oct. 24 at 1 p.m.
