WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State Gold team took a 3-0 lead in the Fall World Series with a 10-1 win in game three.

Gold starter Kris Gardner went six innings and gave up one run on five hits with two strikeouts.  Aaron LaBrie pitched three shutout innings in relief.

Don Lambert went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Gold, while Mikel Mucha went 3-for-3 with two triples and a double.

Black starter Albert Minnis took the loss.  He went five innings and gave up three earned runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts.

Josh Halbert went 2-for-3 for the Black.

Game four of the series is Thurs., Oct. 6 at 7 p.m.
