HONOLULU, Hawaii- Matt Cooper threw 7.2 shutout innings as Hawaii defeated Wichita State 7-0 in game four of a five-game series.

Dayne Parker, Tyler Baker and Erik Harbutz each had two hits for the Shockers. Starter Kris Gardner took the loss. He went three innings and gave up three runs on five hits.

Hawaii grabbed an early lead with a run in the first.  Stephen Ventimilia singled to lead off the inning and after stealing second, scored on a single from Conner George to give UH a 1-0 lead.

The Rainbows added to their lead in the second with three doubles to take a 3-0 lead and used a two-out single to tack on another run in the fifth. UH closed out the scoring with a three-run eighth.

The Shockers and Rainbows wrap up the series on Sun., March 24 at 5:05 p.m. Central time.
