WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State men’s tennis team will travel to Peoria, Ill. on Saturday, April 13 to take on Bradley and Bloomington, Ill. on Sunday, April 14 to take on Illinois State.

Bradley (12-8, 0-2) fell to Illinois State 6-1 on Thursday, April 11. Juan Diego Cuadrado leads the Braves in singles play with a record of 19-13. Hamish Weeransinghe, who grabbed the only point for Bradley in their loss to Illinois State, is also 19-13 on the season in singles play.

Illinois State (6-11, 1-1) grabbed their first MVC win of the season in their victory over Bradley. Alexander Pelaez moved his singles record to 12-6 on the season when he took down Ahmen Albitar in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0.

Wichita State (12-7, 1-1) fell to No. 23 Drake 4-2 on Sunday, April 7 after grabbing their first MVC win of the season over Creighton on Friday, April 5. Erick Reyes has been impressive in singles play on the season with a record of 16-5, including winning his last 10 matches. Matheus Pereira and Tin Ostojic lead the way in doubles play with a record of 15-3 in dual matches on the season. They have won eight out of their last ten matches.

The match on Saturday against Bradley will begin at 11 a.m. while Sunday’s match against Illinois State has a start time of 10 a.m. Results will be posted on following the completion of play.
