His finish qualifies him for the USA Thorpe Cup Team, an international competition that pits the USA against Germany on July 27-28 in Chula Vista, CA.
“I am so proud of Austin Bahner,” head coach Steve Rainbolt said. “This is a huge accomplishment for a college track and field athlete and this is a huge thing for Shocker Track & Field. I’m really excited for him to have this opportunity to compete for Team USA.”
Freshman Chase Pote finished 11th in the Junior Javelin throw with a mark of 187-8. Former Shocker Chandra Andrews finished 14th in the Hammer with a throw of 197-4.
