WICHITA - For the fourth consecutive year, the Wichita State's men's basketball team will play a game at INTRUST Bank Arena, an SMG-managed facility. The Shockers will face the Tennessee Volunteers, Sat., Dec. 14 at 1 p.m., Central on ESPN2.
Wichita State men's basketball season ticket holders will have first purchase priority through a presale. A purchase code will be sent at a later date to season ticket holders based on donation and priority point levels. Ticket prices start at $12 and go on sale to the general public in October. More details on ticket information and on-sale dates to be announced.
"We are proud to again play at INTRUST Bank Arena and bring this type of NCAA caliber team to our community," added Eric Sexton, Wichita State Director of Athletics.
The Shockers have enjoyed success in their previous three appearances at INTRUST Bank Arena, defeating The University of Tulsa in 2010, The University of Alabama-Birmingham in 2011 and Southern Miss in 2012.
Tennessee defeated the Shockers, 69-60, a year ago in Knoxville, Tenn., in a WSU season that would end with an appearance in the Final Four, its first since 1965.
Once on sale, fans will be able to purchase tickets at the INTRUST Bank Arena Box Office, online at www.selectaseat.com, by phone at (855) 755-SEAT and at all Select-A-Seat outlets.
The Wichita State Ticket Office will handle student ticket distribution. Those tickets will be available beginning Oct. 18.
