WICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State volleyball team is picked first in the 2013 Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.  The Shockers received eight first-place votes and 98 points in the poll.

The Shockers return 10 letterwinners and five starters from a team that went 24-10 overall in 2012 and 13-5 in Missouri Valley Conference play. WSU also advanced to the first Sweet 16 in school history.

Two Shockers were also named to the Preseason All-Valley Team.  Senior setter Chelsey Feekin and senior middle blocker Elizabeth Field were named to the team.  Feekin earned first team all-Valley honors in 2012, while Field was named to the second team.
