WICHITA, Kan. - Former Wichita State catcher Cody Clark made his major league debut on Aug. 23, 2013 for the Houston Astros.
Clark, who played catcher and third base for the Shockers in 2003, becomes the 35th Wichita State player to make it to the major leagues.
Cody pinch-hit in his debut on Aug. 23 and earned his first start on Sun., Aug. 25. He went 0-for-4, but threw out two runners attempting to steal second base.
At WSU, Clark hit .320 with 16 doubles, six triples, eight home runs, 55 RBI and four stolen bases and earned second team all-Valley honors.
