Pedrazzi, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year went 3-0 at the No.1 position on the weekend to capture the singles championship. Julia Schiller, Satjaporn Mahajaroenkul and Abby Stevens won all competition on the weekend, going 6-0. Montse Blasco Fernandez also went a perfect 3-0 in singles play.

Head coach Colin Foster was happy with his team’s play in their first tournament of the season.
“It was a strong performance for our first competition of the season,” Foster said. “We were able to try some different doubles combinations and get stronger.”
In singles, the ladies played with a strong competitive edge, especially in several three-set victories against Kansas State. We’re excited to get back to work and build on this weekend.”
Abby Stevens will next head to the ITA All-Americans in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 28. The rest of the team will be in action next at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships October 4-6 in St. Louis.
