WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita State softball team will host games against Crowder Community College and Pittsburg State at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. respectively, Sat., Sept. 28 at Wilkins Stadium.
The Shockers will be looking to build off of a strong pitching performance from their opening weekend games against Pratt Community College and Seminole State. In the game against Pratt, Wichita State freshman Kaitlyn Malone pitched a no-hitter and allowed just one walk in five shutout innings of the Shockers, 10-0, victory.
Against Seminole State the Shockers got a strong performance in the circle from senior Sloan Anderson who allowed only four hits in seven innings of the Wichita State, 6-0, victory.
The Shockers will concentrate on getting more of their new faces game action and experience at the plate.
This Saturday, following the Wichita State games will be a 3 p.m. game between Pittsburg State and Crowder Community College.
