WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State women’s golf team will head to Tulsa, Okla. on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 to compete in the ORU Shootout at Meadowbrook Country Club.
The Shockers are coming off play at the Marilynn Smith Invitational where they carded a 998 (334-328-336) to finish in 13th place over the 54-hole event. Freshman Alejandra Villalobos led the Shockers in scoring with a 241 (90-73-78) and finished in a tie for 26th.
The course at Meadowbrook Country Club has a par of 71 and is 6,120 yards. Wichita State will face teams from Arkansas State, Houston Baptist, Incarnate Word, Lamar, McLennan CC, Missouri State, Northern Arizona, Northern Iowa, Oklahoma City, Oral Roberts, Sam Houston State, Southern Utah, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UALR, UTEP and Western Texas.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday’s shotgun start is set for 8:30 a.m. The low four individual scores will determine the team score for each round.
