TULSA, Okla.- The Wichita State men’s tennis team ended play in the USTA/ITA Central Region Championships on Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
In the round of 32, sophomore Tin Ostojic defeated Vasileiuos Stavropolous of Nebraska in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 to move in the round of 16. He then fell to Dusty Boyer of Nebraska, 7-5, 6-4. Boyer had defeated Tomislav Gregurovic, 7-5, 6-4 in the round before to reach Ostojic.
Ilija Cuic fell to Matt Frost of Drake, 7-6(3), 6-3 in second round match.
The Shockers are next in action at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships in Des Moines, Iowa Nov. 8-10.
