RIO VERDE, Ariz.- Alejandra Arellano is in a tie for first place with a 148 (73-75) and the Shockers are two-shots back of the lead with a 603 (299-304) after the second round of the Rio Verde Invitational was completed on Saturday afternoon at Quail Run Golf Course.

Meghan Schuetz and Samantha Stewart are in a tie for 13th, each carding a 151 (75-76), Alejandra Villalobos carded a 153 (76-77) to put herself in a tie for 23rd and Daniela Rugeles is in a tie for 66th with a 162 (82-80).

Xavier leads the team scoring after two rounds with a team score of 601 (303-298) and a total of six individuals are tied for the lead.

“The team fought very hard today,” head coach Tom McCurdy said. “Our score could have been a few shots higher, but we saw a bunch of great saves.”

“We are right where we want to be, in position to win, and we will give it our best tomorrow and see how it goes.”

The final round begins on Sunday morning at 8 a.m. MT. Live stats can be found on and results will be posted on following the completion of play.
