TF: Pruitt Wins 100 Meter Dash at Oregon Relays

EUGENE, ORE. – Senior Shamoya Pruitt won the women’s 100-meter dash with a time of 11.88 seconds. Pruitt’s time is a personal best and ranks fifth in the Valley during the outdoor season.

The 4x400-meter relay team of Taylor Thomas, Nora Zajovics, Kiara Giles, and Natalie Morerod took first with a time of 3:46.97. The men’s 4x400-meter relay took second with a time of 3:17.07. The team was made up of Kyle Long, Colton Mays, Issac Poe, and Cody Scheck.

Ashley Petersen and Shanice Andrews took second in the women’s high jump and triple jump events. Petersen cleared 5’-7’’, while Andrews jumped 39’-10 ¼’’.  Shazz Michael Lindo took third in the men’s triple jump. Lindo’s jump measured 47’-4 ½’’.

Sadie Suenram took third in the discus with a throw of 152’-11 ¾’’.

In the men’s pole vault, senior Alex Freshour and junior Ethan Pearson tied for fourth in the pole vault event. Freshour and Pearson cleared 16’-2 ¾’’for the fourth place finish.
