“I went out looking for hard working, high energy and smart and I got what I wanted,” Lamb said. “Like Matt (Hoffman), Sean is friends with a lot of my friends even though we didn’t know each other. All I got was thumbs up from everybody. He is a rising star and will be a head coach someday and I just hope to keep him around here for a while. I’ve always set it up that we would divvy up assignments how we are together as a staff. Between the three of us, we want to balance out all the roles of recruiting, training and scouting amongst us. My plan is that we are three equals as we figure out how best to work with each other.”
Carter will be Lamb’s second assistant as Matt Hoffman has been promoted to first assistant.
"I am very excited to be joining the Shocker Volleyball program and the Wichita State family,” Carter said. “I am looking forward to working along side such great coaches in Chris Lamb and Matt Hoffman. I couldn't be happier to be here and can't wait to start working with the players to help them continue the tradition of success that the Shocker Volleyball program is known for."
