WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State women's basketball team assisted with the move-in of Shocker students into Shocker Hall, the new residence hall, between Cessna Stadium and Morrison Hall.
Wearing neon yellow, student-athletes assisted some of the more than 800 students expected to live in Shocker Hall. A new 400-seat dining hall is also attached to the new residence hall, serving a wide variety of food options.
Most first-year students, including Shocker student-athletes of every sport, and some returning students, will reside in Shocker Hall. Several room configurations were available, including singles, standard doubles, double rooms with two singles and quad rooms with four single rooms. Some also have small living room areas.
Each floor has a laundry room, community kitchen and lounge area.
The new residence hall is expected to help energize WSU and provide exceptional access to academic and recreational opportunities.
As of May 14, Shocker Hall was full, with nearly 800 students expected to reside in the new residence hall.
