TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State scored a run in the 10th inning to defeat Wichita State 1-0.

Tyler Wampler led off the 10th inning with a single through the left side and advanced to second on a fielding error.  After an intentional walk to Landon Curry, Cale Elam threw out Wampler at third on a bunt attempt.  Jeremy Lucas then singled down the left field line off the glove of Tyler Baker to score Curry for the 1-0 win.

Mikel Mucha went 2-for-3 for the Shockers, while Casey Gillaspie, Micah Green and Taylor Doggett each had a hit.

Reliever Cale Elam took the loss.  Starter Josh Smith went 6.2 innings and gave up no runs on three hits with one walk and four strikeouts.

The Shockers and Sycamores play game two on Sat., May 5 at 1 p.m. Central time.
