LINCOLN, Neb. - Nebraska defeated Wichita State 14-0 on Tuesday night in Lincoln.
Nate Goro and Travis Bennett each had a hit. Starter TJ McGreevy took the loss. Reliever Tobin Mateychick threw 2.1 shutout innings with three strikeouts.
NU opened up the scoring in the bottom of the second inning. With a runner at second and two outs, the Huskers had five-straight hits to score six runs and take a 6-0 lead.
The Huskers tacked on another run in the third and three more in the fifth to take a 10-0 lead.
The Shockers are next in action on Fri., April 16 when they take on Indiana State. First pitch is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Central time.
