At WSU: Joe Ragland is the third first-team NJCAA All-American to play basketball at WSU, behind Gaylon Nickerson (1991, Butler County) and Mantas Griskenas (2007, Three Rivers)… 

2010-11 (Junior): Played in a school-record 37 games, along with seven teammates... Scored a season-high 15 points against VCU in Wichita... Had 10 double-figure scoring games, including six in the last 11 games... Made better than 50 percent of his shots the last six regular-season games, including a perfect 4-of-4 against SIU in Wichita... Scored a season-high and WSU career-high 15 points against VCU in the Bracketbusters game... Had 19 starts, including the last 12-straight games... Shared time at the point with Toure Murry and Demetric Williams early in the season... Shot a team-leading 87.7 percent (57-65) from the line which is tied for fifth on WSU's season chart... Earned the Warren Jabali Assists Team Award as the team's leader in assists...

Junior College (2008-10): An NJCAA All-American from North Platte (Neb.) Community College, he helped North Platte to the NJCAA Tournament in Hutchinson and earned the Bud Obee Outstanding Small Player Award… In 2009-10, he averaged 18.4 points, made 56 percent of his shots, 45.8 percent of his three-pointers, and 75.4 percent of his free throws for North Platte… He also holds North Platte’s career scoring record with 1,286 points… In two seasons, he averaged 19.5 points and 3.1 assists and made 45.3 percent from the arc… Named to the 2010 All-Region IX team and the Region IX all-tournament team.

High School: Named The West Springfield Terriers were 59-32 in his four years… He earned the Lahovich Award as the region’s top player as a senior.

Has an older brother, Robert, and a younger sister, Lateisha and brother, Shawn… Also recruited by Creighton, George Mason, Utah, TCU, Montana, Montana State, Northern Colorado and Lamar...
