Black Defeats Gold, 6-2

WICHITA, Kan. - The Black squad defeated the Gold squad 6-2 in game one of the Shocker Fall World Series.

Erik Harbutz went 3-for-4 with two doubles for the Black, while Kevin Hall, Will Baez, Mitch Caster and Johnny Coy each had two hits.  Starter TJ McGreevy earned the win by pitching five shutout innings with two strikeouts.

Ryan Jones led the Gold going 2-for-4 with two RBI.  Starter Aaron LaBrie took the loss as he gave up four runs on seven hits in four innings.

The two teams meet in game two at 2 p.m. on Sun., Oct. 18 at Eck Stadium.
