SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. – Cal Poly scored two runs in the first inning to defeat Wichita State 3-0 in game two of the series.
The Shockers had just four hits in the game, a double by
Alec Bohm, two singles from
Luke Ritter and a single from
Greyson Jenista.
Starter
Cody Tyler went 4.1 innings and allowed two runs on five hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
Cal Poly used two singles, a safety squeeze and a triple to take a 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Mustangs scored their final run on a sacrifice fly in the eighth.
The Shockers and Mustangs wrap up the series on Sun., March 19 at 3 p.m. Central time.
